Sponsoring Programs

On July 4, 1999 the Rough Riders were founded and formed, By ED Washington, Lucky Robertson, Bill Wright, Quentin & Carlene Miles, Israel Button and Thurman Beavers, with Holiday Inn Express of Temple Texas as the Sponsor.

The Rough Riders Club strongly supports the City of Mc Nab, by participating in the annual Twin River Festival in Arkansas during the month of April. Also our riders have teamed up with the Buffalo Soldiers and participated in the Seminole Indian Day in Brackettville, Texas. Some riders participated in a seven day trail ride with the South West Trail Riders Association of Houston, Texas. We are also proud to provide the city of Killeen with many community services. The Rough Riding Club has FM 439, as an adopt Highway, to include Rosewood Retirement Community

Our goal and commitment as Rough Riders is to provide our community and our youth with fun sportsmanship, equine activities, and education in western horse back riding.
